was born of insights gleaned from working with nonprofits for over a decade.

These insights — combined with Erin’s experience earning her MFA in Writing in a program where she was encouraged to “talk shop” with her peers, bounce ideas around, and sometimes, just commiserate — showed her the value and potential of group feedback and idea-sharing.

In this workshop we will go over structure and discuss specifics such as: what makes a proposal stand out, how do we succinctly and accurately tell the stories of our organizations, and how do we share successes in an honest way that fully illustrates the impact of our work? The bulk of each session will be spent reading and discussing each other’s writing in a supportive, workshop-style environment.

The isolated imagination is easily corrupted by theory, but the writer inside his community seldom has such a problem.
