Writing
Erin is an experienced writer who works with organizations to strengthen the way impact is conveyed by focusing on stories that illuminate positive, indispensable change and highlight the ripple effects of those changes on and in the communities in which they occur.
Erin’s approach is rooted in authenticity and depth. She understands how good writing can elevate a project or idea. She knows what it takes to share stories with clarity, compassion, and enthusiasm, and she sees the critical roles that flexibility and nimbleness play in our rapidly changing world.

Testimonials
“Without prior knowledge of our organization’s history or strategic plan, Erin was able to synthesize different levels of information to tell a story no one else could. With very little direction she was able to take raw evaluation data and program reports, and conduct interviews with clients to produce stories and documents that eloquently illustrated the work of our team and the effects of our programs. Her work is original and provides a thoughtful new way to express our mission impact.
Erin’s approach is so powerful I hired her twice at two different organizations! My staff now uses examples of her work to help guide their own work, and to help our funders more clearly connect with our everyday efforts.”—Tanya Stevenson, Former President & CEO, Breathe California
“Erin is a talented and gifted writer who captured the impact of the Girls Inc. program by telling the girls’ stories. The stories she crafted helped Girls Inc. share the deep meaning of the organization with our community and funders.”
— Linda Boessenecker, Retired CEO, Girls Inc. of Alameda County
“Erin is a quick-thinking and sharp-writing pro who passed the highest bar I could have set for a writer: She converted a turgid academic article into a short, compelling piece that has made important, but inaccessible, ideas useful to leaders who can really gain from them!”
— William P. Ryan, Ryan Consulting Group
“Erin is a creative, responsible, and talented writer. I worked with her for years on non-profit projects. She was able to take an idea or an interview and weave them into engaging stories.”
— Sally Kuhlman, Former Director of National Programs at Beyond Differences
“Erin is an amazing writer. Her writing jumps off the page and becomes alive. She is able to write detailed program proposals, along with many wonderful stories of the participants and families we serve. She is a pleasure to work with and brings this amazing work ethic.”
— Judy Glenn, Retired COO, Girls Inc. of Alameda County

“I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear.”
